Medical Cannabis is used to treat a lot of different pain conditions that have not responded to other pain treatments. The research and anecdotal evidence strongly supports using medical cannabis for pain treatment.
Arthritis
Anecdotally, some people with arthritis who have tried CBD, report noticeable pain relief, sleep improvement and/or anxiety reduction. Some studies in animals have suggested that CBD has pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory properties, but these effects have not been validated in quality studies in humans.
Chronic/Complex/Cancer/Pain
Medical Cannabis is most popularly used in treating neuropathic pain than other forms of pain. Neuropathic or nerve pain is difficult to treat and can severely impact your life. It can be caused by damage, injury, or dysfunction of nerves due to trauma, surgery, disease, or chemotherapy. Worn Discs/Repetitive Strain/Cord Injury
Spinal discs can wear down leading to severe pain called Degenerative Disc Disorder. It involves a host of physical and psychological factors that includes a range of spinal conditions, from vertebral stenosis to facet joint syndrome.
This can be difficult to treat. Medical Cannabis has been shown to help relieve this pain.
Fibromyalgia
A rheumatologist can assess whether you have Fibromyalgia. Experts suggest that fibromyalgia may be due to issues with a person’s endocannabinoid system.  Medical Cannabis can help regulate a person’s endocannabinoid system and reduce symptoms. A Cochrane study found medical cannabis treatment resulted in improvements pain, sleep and insomnia.
Migraine
In a study at the University of Colorado, 121 people who got regular migraine headaches used marijuana daily to prevent attacks. About 40% of them said the number of migraine headaches they got each month was cut in half.
Psychiatric Conditions

Medical Cannabis can provide sustained relief from many psychiatric conditions and symptoms including anxiety, depression and PTSD

Introducing cannabis into the system may help restore normal levels and function. This may ease symptoms of depression.
Autism related Behaviour Management
Anecdotally, some people with arthritis who have tried CBD, report noticeable pain relief, sleep improvement and/or anxiety reduction. Some studies in animals have suggested that CBD has pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory properties, but these effects have not been validated in quality studies in humans.
Depression
4 of 12 primary studies in a systematic review looking at medical cannabis in Alzheimer's dementia found that treatment of patients with dementia with medical cannabis resulted in significant improvements in a range of neuropsychiatric symptoms associated with dementia.
Illicit Drug Management
Cannabis products are most popularly used in treating neuropathic pain than other forms of pain. Neuropathic or nerve pain is difficult to treat and can severely impact your life. It can be caused by damage, injury, or dysfunction of nerves due to trauma, surgery, disease, or chemotherapy.

Neurological Conditions

Medical Cannabis can provide sustained relief from a number of nerve conditions and compliment other treatments
Neurological Conditions
Our patients with neurological conditions lives can be severely impacted and treatments hard to find. In addition, the side-effects of treatments can be debilitating.

Medical Cannabis can regulate your body’s endocannabinoid system to ameliorate neurological symptoms. Medical Cannabis has been granted approval for its treatment.
Alzheimers Disease
Anecdotally, patients with Alzheimer's who are treated with Medical Cannabis have shown improved symptom management.

The TGA has approved Medical Cannabis for a host of other medical conditions.
Gastrointestinal Conditions
